Making things has always been in our blood. We are most captivated by the process of watching ideas come to life. When it comes to leather goods, we know the smallest details can make all the difference. That's why we've spent years perfecting our craft, and why we're so excited to have launched Evening Sun Leather in mid-2023.

We're a product of LA's vibrant scene, but we reject the disposable culture. Our pieces are made to be used and cherished. We're not interested in churning out mass-produced items. We want to create pieces we'd actually use ourselves. Pieces that will last a lifetime.

Materials

Only the best leather

We always begin with a full-grain leather hide sourced directly from the tannery.

After extensive research, we have come to prefer Wickett & Craig's full-grain leather for our wallets. Their traditional glazed harness hides possess a subtle shine, are durable yet soft to the touch, and develop a beautiful patina over time.

Wickett & Craig are a US based tannery that are renowned for their superior vegetable-tanned leathers and have been around since 1867. All the leather we use is graded 1-2, which is the highest quality cut from the tannery.

Thread

We use Ritza 25 Tiger thread from thread maker Julius Koch. It's a waxed polyester thread that is finely braided, flattened and extremely strong. Tiger thread is Imported from Germany and is considered the best hand sewing thread in the world. That being said, the stitching on our pieces will last you a lifetime.
